I was born in Naperville and lived out my entire childhood there. As a child my father helped grow my love for nature, culture, and music. My mother taught me to respect, appreciate, and be kind to people from all walks of life as well as remain happy and optimistic, appreciating what you have. I spent much of my elementary years as the neighborhood tomboy partaking in every sport known to man, climbing trees, and banging up my knees. I enjoyed the academic as well as the social aspects of my high school education. Later on, I went to college at Northern Illinois University. It was there I received my teaching degree. I've always enjoyed interacting with children and have always appreciated their differences in personality and unique ways of thinking. As time passes, the passion only grows. My husband, Tim, and I are blessed to have three children of our own. Our oldest, Martine, is in third-grade. We also have twins (Myles & Macey) who are turning two in October! Lastly, we own many pets including one dog, one parrot, seven turtles, a lizard, and fish. A large but happy family!
